Filament Installation

1. Label the Filament

Remove both stickers and both chips. (if present.) Install new chip stickers onto both flanges.

2. Load the Filament

Open the spool, align the filament with the latch, and snap it into place.

3. Locking the Spool

Close the spool, press firmly, and rotate until you hear a “click," confirming it's locked.

4. Prepare the Filament

Once the spool is locked, remove the bonding strap and thread the filament into the spool hole.

How do I control the transparency level of this filament?

The translucency is tunable through print settings. For higher clarity, use fewer walls (1–2 perimeters), lower infill percentage, and print at the higher end of the temperature range. For a frosted, more diffused look, increase wall thickness and infill density.

Can I mix this with other PLA filaments in one print?

Yes! Translucent PLA seamlessly bonds with any PLA filament. You can easily add translucent accents to your prints by swapping colors mid-print, making it perfect for HueForge and multi-effect projects.

What are the best use cases for translucent PLA?
